Body Shop Body Butters Review

The Body Shop Body Butters Review.

I have to admit, I do have a bit of an obsession with body butters, especially those from The Body Shop.

My current total is 8 tubs, and there is so many more Id like to try, including the new raspberry one which I have just spotted on their website.

Lets go back to the beginning and I'll explain why. I suffer from eczema, which means my skin can get very dry, and sometimes sore, so I gave to be very careful what creams, lotions, perfumes etc that I use. I do get prescription creams but they are very plain and I was trying to find something scented so I could get the benefit of a moisturising cream but still have a subtle nice lingering scent. I've tried various creams before from supermarket versions to pricier brands and I finally found exactly what I needed from The Body Shop.
I've always loved their way of thinking, this is what they say in their about us section.

We believe true beauty comes from the heart. For us, beauty is much more than a pretty face.
We make our products with love and care. We source some of the finest raw ingredients from the four corners of the globe. We harness the skills of artisan farmers and add our expertise to create effective products that are wonderful to use.
We trade fairly so communities benefit as well as you. We never test on animals, and all our products are 100% vegetarian. We campaign with passion on issues close to our heart, because activism is in our blood. We always keep people, animals and the planet in mind. So when you shop with us, you are choosing...

The ones that I have are Mango, Aloe. Pink Grapefruit, Blueberry, Honeymania, Papaya, Passion Fruit, and Vanilla Bliss.

My favourite so far has to be Blueberry. All of them are very moisturising and cause very little irritation on my skin. I try not to use them when I have bad flare ups and rely on prescription products during this time, but when its healed I use the body butters daily. They moisturise very well and it soaks into my skin very quickly without leaving a sticky residue and leave my skin feeling really soft, and the lovely scents mean I don't always have to wear perfume and they last all day. Many times people have asked me what perfumes I wear and are usually surprised when I say its a body cream.

I rarely buy them at full price so end up buying them in their sales, which is why I have so many, and usually use a discount code and cashback websites as well which are a big help

She Inside - First order of many (I hope)

I have visited the Sheinside website many times and have always been tempted to buy things but after reading many mixed reviews online, I have been put off. But, one day I spotted a couple of things that I really wanted so decided to take the plunge.
One thing that concerned me was import taxes and such, I was very relieved when it arrived and I had no charges to pay.
Next up was delivery times. I believe they are based in China. but I could be wrong. Either way, orders are being sent from abroad. While the website says delivery times can be from 5 to 15 days, many complained saying they took many weeks, I was pleasantly surprised when my parcel arrived yesterday, it would have been a week since I placed that order, which puts it at the lower end of their delivery estimate which was great.
The prices are pretty reasonable and from what I've seen so far, the quality is good. I have yet to try them on properly, but I am going out for a meal tonight, wearing 2 of the things I ordered, so this will test what they are like.

This is what was in the package,

The items don't show up clear enough so I will leave a direct link to the item on the sheinside website.

First up is a simple Black Elastic Waist Zipper Ruffle Skirt Click Here To Go To Website

To go with the skirt I picked a Black Long Sleeve Lace Skull Pattern Sweater Click Here

And for the warmer months a White Ruffle Sleeve Vintage Floral Loose Dress Click Here

I'm really looking forward to trying them and seeing how the style and so on. Fingers crossed everything goes well, and I will be ordering from them again. Just a quick note, a lot of the items they sell seem to come in one size, of the three I ordered, only the sweater had a choice of sizes, so I'm not sure what the fit of the others is going to be like.

Aims for the year - overcoming stressful situations and year plans.

I know its a bit late in the year to start making resolutions but I have been busy pretty much non stop for the past few months and I hope things will be settling done soon so I can get some tasks done. I have a few things that I want to do and they range from overcoming personal battles to reviewing products and making haul posts/videos.
Here goes,

First off I want to try and overcome some personal issues and to do this I need to face my demons. I guess you could say I suffer from a form of anxiety. On a general day to day basis I'm ok, but when it comes to new things, I can have minor panic attacks. Going to places such as the doctors and dentist can have a bad effect on me. I'm not scared of them, I just find it really intense being there, I can get all hot and flustered, my heart races, I feel like I cant breath and my head spins. It very hard to explain it and even harder to explain why it happens. Just writing about it now is making me uncomfortable, but I'm hoping to try and manage it better, and the first step is to write it down.
I have the same reactions when I go to shops for the first time, making phone calls or even using the drive-through at fast food places. Job interviews are the worst, and it doesn't matter how much I want the job, or how prepared I am, I always end up a sweating, shaking mess and the more I think about it the worse I get. I am trying to put myself in new situations to try and ease it but its very hard, but my aim this year is to keep trying.
I also have OCD, which isn't that bad generally, as most people don't notice me straightening things, or counting my steps etc, but when I get stressed it gets worse and I don't know what to do with myself sometimes.
It's at this point that you tube comes in. I was hoping to make some videos to try and help me and to build up my confidence. But even though I am talking to a camera rather than directly at people, I still find it hard, and I'm pretty shy so I usually avoid cameras so it's probably not the best thing to try and do. But I would like to do more things on there, I believe the more I try, the easier it will get, and maybe I'll even get some followers which could help me through it. I have some things on their way so I may just do a quick haul recording and stick to doing a full review in blog form.
On a more positive note, we have been looking into buying our first home. We've viewed some houses and been to the bank, the next task is to find our dream home. We are in no particular rush so hopefully we will find the right place. I have been planning however, I have my room plan scrapbook filling up, and I keep buying bits here and there to make it easier when the time comes.

Wow, I have been rambling a fair bit now. If need be, I can go into more detail on certain aspects and maybe even talk it over with someone, I'm always open to opinions and suggestions. The sun is shining so I am off for a walk. Take care, x

Jewelcandle review and discount code

I have just made my second purchase from http://jewelcandle.co.uk/ as I loved my last one. Part of the reason for getting another is because a family member wanted one so I thought I'd get her one for her birthday. This review is based on the first candle I purchased which was the Santa Clause one, which at the time was on sale. There are two sides to these candles, one is the candle itself which can burn for 10 hours and they smell lovely, but not too powerful, and the second is the surprise inside. I have chosen the rings on both occasions. The sizes tend to be the most common sizes so you may have to get it re-sized if it doesn't fit.

I'm impressed with the candle, the smell was lovely, the ring was nice but too big so I doubt I'll wear it and it's not quite my style so I wont be paying to get it made smaller, one downside is the price, the rind candles are about £25 which is pretty steep, I understand that a lot of good quality candles do sell for a lot but to me its too much for 1 candle, even more so as I would rather have 2 to make a symmetrical look to the display in the room. However, I do like them enough to purchase a new candle, this time I have gone for one of their limited edition candles in pink cherry, as well as the one I have chosen as a gift. I will update when I have used this one and let you know what I thing.

Here is a discount code for you to get 10% off.

Another Lush haul - online purchase

I made my first purchase at Lush on Sunday, and I liked it so much I placed an order online. A write up of my visit to their store can be found HERE. It's a combined haul from that shopping trip.
I didn't get any samples while I was in the store which I was disappointed about as there is so many products that's Id love to try but cant afford to buy them all. So I decided that when I make an order online I would request a few.
Their delivery times were rather impressive. I placed the order at about 2.30PM on Thursday and when I got home from work yesterday (Friday) my parcel was already there. It was all packaged well and there was a small black paper bag with the samples I requested.

As you can see, I purchased a few bits. They are as follows,

Fairy Tail scrub
Snow Fairy Shower Gel 100g
Christmas Eve Bubble Bar
The Hair Doctor Hair Treatment
Volcano Foot Mask
Sugar Scrub Shower Scrub

All are available on their website www.lush.co.uk

I hope to try all of the items over the next few weeks and I will write a review of them once I have tried them all. If there is a specific one anyone would like to know about, feel free to let me know and I can do a smaller review on it asap.
